Mine is in the garage but I need to be able to put it on for warrenty work and am looking to move to CO and could end up in an emissions test area, the PO had exhaust put on that is a one piece straight pipe that is welded together. So my question is would you cut the new stuff off and mod it to be a two piece and easily removable and just swap it on/off as needed or gut the DPF and CAT (and how would you do it) and put it on with the stock tailpipe or the new one. Also if they are gutted will it mess with the sensors and cause a CEL, I don't see how it could with my SCT turning it off.

If you are moving to an area that does emissions testing, you've no choice. PUt the dpf back on and deal with the 300hp that the truck will make.

Should you stay where you are or move somewhere that doesnt require testing you can leave your open exhaust as it is. As for it being one piece or multiple pieces, who cares? Do you expect taking it in for warranty often? You shouldnt have to.

If you need to put the stock chit back on, be prepared to.
