I need to run dual fuel pumps on my prerunner in order to take advantage of the dual duck foot pick up lines in my fuel cell.

Im running one of my fuel systems with a fuel lab pump currently But I cant just hook both lines up to that because on an incline or in a corner with low fuel it will just suck air in the higher pick up. I will need 2 pumps in order for it to always have pressure and 2 fuel labs pumps would be way over kill.

any ideas?

Not sure if you get on pirate4x4.com very much but i would suggest you go look around there.
I remember a while ago reading about some special fittings used in tanks that when they start to suck air they close shut and then suck from a different port.
Ill have to try and find what they are called but a few tank manufacteurs offered them.

I was wondering if someone made something like that as well.

One of the guys in the 6.7 section is running dual stock pumps. Worth a shot? I think Morgan helped with the build.

I kinda like the dual Bosch idea myself. Those pumps are pretty rock solid. And if something goes awry you can go to any dealership to get yourself back on the road.

So even if you do hook up two pumps... when you hit a corner and all the fuel sloshes to one side... is the pump on the low side just sucking air or what happens at that point? Myself, I'd probably just put another fuelab on. Overkill? Sure, but you already have one now and only need one more. Every other options means you have to buy two more pumps. I just don't understand what keeps one from sucking air?

It won't keep one from sucking air but it prevents you from loosing fuel pressure all together because one will always be in the fuel.

I can sell my current set up and pay for the new set up. Also fuel lab pumps require a -10 feeding it and a sump. Mine are -8 lines and draw hoses.

What about any pump of choice with a check valve on the engine side of each pump leg, the check valve won't open if there is no fluid pushing it open, maybe then keeping air from entering. This way if the pump loses prime: fuel no flow.

I would run dual walboro's. I am running one on my 6.0 with a regulated return set at 60psi and it holds great with 215cc injectors. They are very simple pumps and not badly priced.
