I'd ask this question on a bronco forum but they are coneeded on how big tires will fit.

I have 96 Eddie bauer bronco.it has the larger 5.8 motor and e4od trans. I got this as a "I'm sorry I took your $8k atv and rolled it into a canyon"

Anyway at one point the trans was pulled and built up to go along with the built motor, axles and tźcase.
it received a billet tq,billet shaft ,upgraded pump ect.
well when he installed it he didn't fill the tq.
started it and immediately shut it down.
so my question is did he mess it up. Can I pull it,fill the tq and reinstall?
If not does antone know of a shop that does bench work in the norcal area. Between san Fran and sac?

There is no reason to fill the torque converter separately from the transmission. Ford doesn't fill them before installing them on a transmission.

When I R&R my trans, I filled the converter (Precision) before installing it. You can't fill it much because the fluid will spill out once you turn it to slide it in.

On a dry fill, I put 15 qts in. Started the motor and ran it through the gears. I like to keep the trans in reverse for 30 sec prior to going through the gears. The pump sucked up the 15 qts which probably filled the converter/ valve body and cooler (6.0) and the motor stalled. I put in another 7 qts and everything was fine.

Put some more trans fluid (Mercon V) in and start it. You should be fine.
