EBPV delete freez plugs?

Does anyone know what size free plugs I need to use so I can gut my ebpv? I will be doing it in the morning, and I am going to make one last run before I start to work on it. got to have beer for a project like this :redspotdance:

20mm and you only need one (leave the other side plug that's already there in). I prefer to tap it for a 1/2 NPT plug (no chance of that blowing out at some inoportune time). Cheers!

so 19 wont work. I just saw somewhere after checking google for almost an hour that someone used a 19mm

20mm= 0.787
19.11mm= ???

???????

If you need a cheap tap go to Harbor Freight. Its only aluminum so it taps easy. Brass plug with pipe tape and your good to go. I know many running around with this particular setup with many miles on them. My 2 cents. I wouldn't trust a freeze plug IMO.

I used a 19mm. Hammered it in and then istalled a snap ring in the groove so it wouldn't blow out. Still hasn't blown out.

They are most definitely not aluminum... its cast... they rust. I made a billet stainless piece tht has a super tight press fit.

I had to file down the plug a tad to get it to fit. But it works fine.
