Edge Juice w/ Attitude with a SCT

I'm looking at a 6.0 to buy. I just sold my 7.3. On the 7.3 I used a TS 6 position and it was very simple. This new truck I'm looking at has an Edge Juice with Attitude. The seller has offered to put a brand new SCT x3 with the truck. My question is, is it safe to use the Edge as just a gauge (monitor) and use the SCT for performance. The seller said you can run the edge on the zero (0) power level and it will be fine. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? Is it a good idea, bad idea??

I use a CTS to monitor pids on mine.... don't see why you couldnt....as long as it's not still fooling your pcm...

The older Edge's monitor ran off of the module that is in line with the ECM connections. I believe the newer CTS tuning capable ones do the same. Even though it is set to the "stock" power, it still has a tune in it. You will have to completely remove the edge system to properly use the sct. My advice, yank the edge out, sell it, get custom tunes for the SCT (gearhead which I can facilitate), and get a Edge CTS Insight for monitoring or get gauges. Which ever you prefer.
