Egr delete now squeel

Just did the egr delete both exhaust manifold bolts broke had to drill and tap them and got em all fixed ! Now when I drive it is fine untill I get on it than it makes a fuxked up squeel noise any ideas ! Maybe belt slipping since it's wet or somethin

Mine squealed for a few hrs after I did my egr delete then stopped. So I would bet you got it a little wet. If it is still there later or tomorrow you might want to look into it.

Is it coming from the engine area or is it the transmission squeal between shifts?

Pretty sure engine ! I can cruise around and nothin but as soon as I even go half throttle or maybe a 3rd a horrible squeel

Possibly the metal gasket under your block off plate in the exhaust manifold. They will squeal if it's leaking.

^agreed, pre turbo exhaust leaks, on trucks with vgt's anyways, will make almost a tea kettle noise.

X3 on leak before turbo.
Last one I did both bolts broke also, sucks to drill them out.

I took that gasket off and tried cleaning it put it back and no squeel ! Thanks everyone easy fix lol

It happens all the time working on the EGR system in the international big bores I work on. That's how I figured that one up! Glad it's solved!
