2008 f350 SRW, thought I had a busted driver side up pipe and it turned out to be the EGR feeder pipe that runs of the passenger side up pipe. I don't plan on doing a ****** anytime soon due to funds but I need to get this pipe replaced and I can't find them used. Any one know where I can get one used/second hand and has any one replaced the pipe without lifting the cab?

I would imagine there wouldn't be a need to do so as the bolts and pipe are fairly easy to access versus the driver side up pipe that it runs over. I know when people do then EGR ****** they usually scrap it so I'm willing to buy it to regain the power loss as I know they don't see aftermarket ones. Thanks.

Most guys cut them in two to get them out cab-on, thats what I did. Why not install a removal block plate up top?

The truck is drive able with the coolers off but it'll throw a few codes like you said.

Well I dont even mean pull the coolers off. Slide a ****** plate in on the top side to keep exhaust from leaking. I could be totally off on my understanding of the EGR system though lol

****** it and dont look back OP!

True. Just one of those really thin blocker plates would work. It would still throw egr flow codes though.

And in turn I'm not sure if that affects regen on a stock truck.

We removed egr coolers off a truck when we had the cab off for a guy and he didn't have money to remove the d pf so I guess he didn't destroy the truck yet.

I understand cutting it or beating it just enough to come out as well as going back in but it being a stock truck I'm not going to stop the flow and risk further issues or codes. I was pulling my 22ft center console boat out of the water and I'm not sure why my truck would have that much loss in power on the low end but I boosted and revved normally but took a second to get pulling. Only 4500ish on the hitch but it's getting annoying and I'm planing on selling my beater and going back to my truck as a daily. MPGs are sucking too, lost probably a couple MPG just cruising.

When you do find the pipe, if your cab mounts arent totally effed you can drop the cab bolts and raise the cab a few inches from the front, makes working back there 10x easier.

From the looks of it, the pipe isn't to difficult to get a hold of.

Nope, thats the frustrating part, I got mine loose and could jangle and bang it all around in there but never get it out, haha! Cut it in half to get it out. With the cab lifted just a few inches I think it slips right out.

Or spend 45 min and pull the turbos then it's real easy to pull. If you can't find a used one that's certain to fail as well you could just have someone replace the bellow jmo

They will come out without being cut or jacking the cab up. OP I should have one off a parts truck. PM me a offer.

I doubt a first timer is going to be able to remove the turbos in 45 minutes.

I asked about re-welding a new bellow on my up pipe when I first believed that the original issue was the driver side up-pipe. Everyone was like no just get new ones which I didn't think was necessary. I don't want to buy a new or used pipe if I can get the bellow easily replaced. I might just drop it off at a shop and hopefully they can do just a couple inches of cab lift instead of lifting the whole thing. Cheapest price for a cab lift was 650 which is a good used SCT competition tuner.

I was wondering since it's just a "feeder" pipe to the coolers then if I were to beat it thin enough to easily slide between the cab and whatever else then it shouldn't effect anything if ultimately it's the same area that the re-routed exhaust is passing through.

Anyone know what's the metal is and if It can be welded?

Thanks Webb06 for the pipe, kinda thinking instead of the crazy labor rates just buy a sct tuner and turn off the egr valve and just put the plate... Damn my way of thinking lol.
