Egr ****** help!

Hello I'm new to diesel ******s and would,like some help. I have a 2016 6.7 and I wanna ****** the egr but wanna leave the cooler. I have a sct x4 and 5inch downpipe back but I wanna do block off plates. I'm thinking just unplug the 3 connectors for now until I get a solid answer. Is there a way to leave the cooler on but still do block offs thanks let me know
