Have some questions about removing some of the "stuff".
My truck is throwing the p0401 code for insuffecient EGR flow. It is intermittent, which I found odd but it comes and goes. Truck has 81k on it and the last 30k have been 80% highway with little to no idle time. From reading elsewhere EGRs clogging seem relatively common and independent of idle time, although lots of idle obviously increases this
I would rather shed some weight and get rid of it then replace it. Question is my area has visual inspections of emissions equipment (no hood pop though) so *** has to stay. Already have a mini maxx sitting around waiting to get used.
Can I run without EGR and *** intact? I am also getting a full kit and just remove the thing rather than turn it off.
