egts at wot

Just curious what egts I should hit at wot empty? Truck is a five speed intake, 3" down pipe 4" strait pipe. And a ts 6 position chip.. on the race 85hp with my foot stuffed I see about 25ish psi and my egts don't get above 950 no smoke seems kinda low but I have never owned a 7.3 or driven one with an egt gauge that wasnt heavily modded. It is a canned tune not a custom one

Where is the probe located? My guess is in the downpipe because the egts should be higher than that.

Weird, my old obs used to get over 1000 with wildman tunes and going wot.

Time for new tunes. My obs with stock injectors and Justin's XXX tune I can hit 1200* playing around pretty easily. Although I have never had it hotter then that.

Well I pulled a good grade 6% and layed into it in 5th kinda lugging the motor it hit 1150 but I don't see it hitting any hotter then that... yup guess its time for custom tunes

My truck w/ 35's and 6" will not go over 1,000* w/ beans tunes unless I'm on a big hill. If I'm flogging it up a steep hill I'll hit 1200ish.

Just pulled a pretty big hill a couple days ago here in Colorado! 10,000+ft & it hit 1150 no higher, no trailer or anything. Stage 1's, bean's tunes, stock turbo.

I rarely get ovver 1000* in WOT with tyrant tunes. Typically stays around 8-900. Thats a calculated guess as my probe is in the downpipe. (rookie mistake 3 years ago age 16 lol) it never goes over 600-700 on flat ground.
