I want to get rid of the stripper pole on the tailgate.

So far I found these part numbers:
Access cover: YL3Z-9943121-AA
Screws: W710734-S439 (need 8)

My truck has the factory spray in bedliner. I want to install the flat plastic tailgate bedliner in place of the stripper pole plastic. My question is.....is Super Duty tailgate and F150 tailgate the same or just certain years?

Those part #'s are the same ones I got from sunrise when I purchased mine. Ford makes the plastic piece for the tailgate for the super duty but why not have just the tailgate sprayed after? Don't think the f150 and super duty tailgate is the same.

I'm not a real fan of my stripper pole but when hauling 8' sheets of plywood or drywall it keeps them in a short box well, flip it up and it locks them in perfectly. lol

I took mine off, if you get the plastic liner piece for the trucks w/o the step it will bolt right on after you take the pole off. Sliding pallets and stuff across it I would of had it ripped off in no time

I use the bed of my truck. Get in and out of it frequently. I did NOT have one on my 11 and do on the 15. I lover the heavy turd! But man is it a heavy gate! The only thing I dislike about it. My wife enjoys it greatly as well being vertically challenged at 5' 3.2678"

It also serves.... ahh. Nevermind! Lol

I don't get all the dislike, I don't use mine much but I do like it...
When I loaded up my Enduro it made it a good amount easier getting it up by myself.

I agree. I don't use it much. Not really at all. But it doesn't bother me. My wife and 6 year old daughter love it. Mainly because they're the same height. LOL

I had to order one of those tailgates for a customer last week. He drives a 2016 F 350 platinum. Someone stole his tailgate so he made an insurance claim. A used one through LKQ was 4 grand! And that's before we painted it. I think the final bill was 5,300 for a damn tailgate. And yea they sure are heavy. Me and the body guy were having the same conversation. That handle wouldn't last a month on my truck as much as I haul.
