I was driving home from work in the pouring and my truck shut off stoping at a light. H&s no longer works it just turns on, also the dash shows a blinking car with a lock. The gear indicator does not show what gear your in anymore. It will not even crank.

2008 f-250 job3 77k miles h.&s. And egr delete

check battery voltage first off, almost sounds like the alternator quit and now the batteries are completely dead

Check both batterys power and ground cables on the battery, on the drivers side there is a screw on terminal that powers basically everything in the cab, check that for sure.

12.5 volts in the batteries. Battery connections are tight and clean the ground on the passenger side engine block is tight.

Any fuses I should check?

Dang this has been happening a lot lately with 6.4s. Did you try and jump the starter at the passenger battery?

Touched the small wire on the starter and it may have sparked

Check all the grounds on the frame/cab. Bad grounds will make all sorts of crazy things happen

Have seen some rubbed through wires where the harness follows the bottom of the radiator support. For the same exact issue. Always when wet.

Your PCM and all is in protection mode right now. You have a short or something you got to find first.

check the big connectors in the driver's wheel well... they're a bia to reach from the top, they're a bia to reach through the wheel well, but you might try disconnecting/cleaning/drying/reseating them. worth a shot. also check for rubbing/chaffing right there on those two big harnesses

Chafed and cut through wires.
Never thought I would be happy to see something like this. Now to figure out how to get them connected again lol.
