Extreme race NO doubt. Even from a roll where the X is suppose to be dominate the extreme race it's not as fast. Never ran it at the track but messing around on street I feel a huge difference.

After trading emails w/ Eric, he advised that @ WOT, both programs are bascially the same.
The difference is in the fuel and timing tables at partial throttle.
My Xt-race is on the LW and the Xt-X was emailed. He did mention LW preloaded will produce better numbers than emailed versions so there is possibly a slight difference but I"m under the impression that on a dyno or track the #'s should be nearly identical.

I have driven both, discussed the observations of less power and the answered as above.

However, I was advised that the 3.02 should have a few extra ponies and may even pick up mileage, per his email.

Was also told 3.02 is suppose to have a pretty nasty xrace, for the guys not afraid of a little smoke ;) I'm hoping the race lock is still an option as well. I don't mind the touchy pedal and smoke at low boost so extreme race def fits me better. The extreme x is a great DD tune but a lot of timing rattle

Race lock is still an option, my X3 that fried my PCM was a 3.02 X3 and had it. I did run that XRace and it was strong, I don't know if it was stronger than my XX though.

I run the XRace 3.01...I cant imagine having anymore down low fuel LOL

I had an e-mailed version of Xrace last year and my 3.02 version smoked just as much as it did down low.

Eric told me it's about 2 tenths slower than the 3.01 race. But I don't know about the new race tune

Race was faster at the track than street. On the dyno though, street always produced higher numbers than race

What effects if any does timing rattle have to the engine say long term? Any proof it isn't hurting the motor? Gearheads hot street has it as well....

im loving my xtreme x as a DD. xtreme race pulls harder out of the hole. but my xtreme x pulls harder up top. a lot harder imo. im seeing around 52-54 psi on 3.0.1 xrace. my xtreme x is the first tune he sent out to anyone. possibly different than others, 57 psi boost max.my xtreme x is very clean and no touchey throttle, xtreme race is super touchey and decently smokey.

Ex race ordered.

It no worky.

Does the same thing Matt's original files did. It slams in reverse and won't move forward. Anyone else ever have this problem? We triple checked the engine and transmission part numbers that were given to both Matt and Eric. Matt was able to get around this somehow. The only tune that has worked the first time was KEM and he only needed the VIN number, not the part numbers. What's the deal???

It's probably a different part number on the PCM and TCM than what was flashed from Ford. This can happen for a lot of reasons, but usually an issue when returning back to stock.

Email us and we'll help you figure it out.

That's what happened with mine. Give Eric a call, he'll help you out.
