I have a 97 250 with 223,000 miles. The last 2 months it has had an excessive unburnt fuel smell from the exhaust. Some smoking but subsides. I have been trying to chase it. I do have a p1280 code, which is the icp, and have tested the hpop (60-90) gets to 2500 psi then drops to 1700 psi about 5-10 sec. I am going to do a diagnostic check. I need to look at the DC's and do a cct on the injectors. Is there anything else that could be my problem, am I leaving anything else out. I have minimal blow by (almost none). Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I always notice a different smell when winter blend fuel comes around. Your ICP numbers do not look that good, but that may not be at all related to the fuel smell.

This thing is killing me. The smell is almost overpowering, my fuel mileage is in the gutter. Im putting it on the computer this week. Im starting to think I need to just change these injectors. 223,000 miles, I think thats pretty good on stock injectors. What should the duty cycle be when i am checking the hpop on a load (while driving) with the computer hooked up.

I don't kmow, but if you're throwing a ICP code, I wouldn't really on the ICP giving "correct" ICP readings.
I bet it's related.
Also have you checked to make sure you don't have any fuel leaks in the valley?
And if it's that bad to where it nearly makes your eyes water, it's probably hazing also.
Have you noticed any smoke?

223K on injectors is a good life. They are likely getting to be worn out.

At WOT from 60-90 mph, ideally you should see around 2600+ psi with a duty cycle below 50%. Do not watch where it spikes to, watch where it settles at.
