The truck went into regen today and I noticeds smoke coming out from under the cab.. After a little looking around I opened the hood and saw that it was coming from behind the motor. I couldn't tell is it was the down pipe or up pipes. Were is the most likely place it could be... The truck does have a high pitched tea pot wistle under mild load.

And with 60 k on the clock do you think it's covered

its a blown bellow on the up pipe, most likely. as far as coverage...unless you got the super duper warranty its not covered.

sunrise ford...give them a shout, they are out of southern cali and will get you squared away if you are willing to purchase the part. just make sure you order the correct up pipe.

Nvm I just looked at it and it is obv that the trans would have to come out.. New question. Are there after market uppipes for the 6.4 or would I have to put 6.0 manifolds on.. What are the bennies with running 6L manifolds.

if its the passenger side then it will be a b!tch to get out. driver side is pretty easy, but it will be either the up pipe that goes to the EGR cooler or the up pipe to the manifold.

the 6.0 manifold is less restrictive off the bat because of cast design. the exit on the 6.0 is pointed vertically VS the 6.4 is not, this would be a more of a factor to use for the guys who use a lot of fuel and nitrous. the 6.0 style up pipes are a bit easuer to service.
performance wise, i say there isnt. you will get better flow and might get better spool up.
it is definately something to look forward to for adding on to your rig

price wise what am i looking at adj..if i went with the 6.0 style would that entail custom up pipes or is it a bolt on swap from the 6.4 junk to the 6.0...
