I've got a line on a '95 F-Superduty 4x4 that I can pick up for next to nothing. Can anyone tell me what I'm getting into? I've only ever heard of them in storybooks and song, never actually seen one up close.

Are they worth anything? I'm was just going to use it to push snow but for the price I'm wondering if I could flip it and make a few bucks. It's a crew cab 60" CA. It's missing the decals, but it is a PSD with an auto.

Apparently Marmon-Herrington and Quigley both did 4x4 conversions.

This one has 45k miles on the clock

Figured I'd add a pic so I didnt get 50 responses of "they didn't make that"

You are right but actually Ford didn't buld it but it was a upfitter after the factory.

If you can get it for a good price then by all means grab it.

I'm pretty sure "Super Duty" didn't exist until the new body style in 99...

The front ends are a pain to get parts for, and if you find them they are very expensive. I can't even remember what axle they used but they are fairly stout looking but are breakable like anything else

F-SuperDutys started in 1988 and were made until 1997 on the older body styles. Sort of a F-450 but designated "F-SuperDuty". Had 4-wheel disc brakes, hydroboost, load conpensating proportioning valve mounted on rear axle/frame and 10 lug wheels.

We had a 2wd version for one of the dirt guys I worked for years ago. Was a good old rig.

Front on this one is an hp60 with ten lug adapters. It's going under my 250 after a gear swap. The mason dump looks like hammered ass but structurally it is sound, so it will sandblasted, painted, and sold. That leaves me with a spare PSD/E4OD/1356 combo and a nice load of scrap. Not bad for $650 ;-)

ugh.... this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for to put my service body on... *sigh*

Pm me an offer on it. I'm not dead set on cutting it up. Also I could sell the ten lug adapters and the transfer case/driveline brake setup off of it so you could build your own.

I'm not looking to get rich off of it but keep in mind that I do have to make some money on this deal to keep the lights on at the shop and what not. I can sell the mason dump pretty easily so I could let the chassis go for a pretty good price. My customers would jump at the chance to buy a refurbished dump body rather than paying me 8k+ to fabricate a new one.

Little update... it was a long slow ride home with 5.38 rears and 235 tires! I think some 285/70r19.5's would reel it in a little, but its looking like $4k+ for a set of 6.

I like it though, I think I'm going to repaint it and put a flat bed on it.

No sir I will be selling the dump body, hoist, and hydraulics as a package deal once I get the time to remove it and refurbish it.

Why do you need one? lol

I have a 4 yard v box spreader to put on the back for snow removal, and a flatbed would be much more handy for the rest of the year.

5.13s or 4.38s? I have never hear of one with 5.38s.... but I could be wrong..
