FICM half shell from International

Wondering if anyone has bought the half shell from International. I can get it for $135 compared to almost $400 from ford. Any reason not to buy it?

Nope half shell should be the exact same unit

Only reason to not buy either is if you have a 7 pin FICM, since they don't make 1/2s for the 7 pins. Other than that, they're the same thing. That's cheap...

Just be warned, even the new ones can still fail over time. I prefer to just solder them up and fix them the right way.

you can also get the half shell from Rock Auto... its made by dorman though

Personally. Id buy Bulletproof Diesels half shell and never look back

i've sold a few of the dorman ones and as of right now no customers have been back complaining, seem to be pretty decent.
