REPLACE your oil cooler as 6.0s have a fin type and not a log type like a 7.3, or a Cummins NTC or Cat 3406... Get it apart now, you'll probably be best off replacing the hpop, and take a magnet to the IPR screen and inspect it closely. When I used to repair DT466s for this common failure that's how I knew we were getting up there in parts is pull the IPR and run a magnet across it..
