Firepunk Diesel-Top Notch !

The past few weeks my truck's been at Firepunk Diesel in Plain City Ohio. My old 4r100 was in bad shape and it was time for it to be built, so I took it to the best. Lavon treated me right and i have no complaints about his services. He knows what he's doing and runs a good shop. The whole process took more time than expected because of a couple stupid little problems we ran into, but thats just how things go. I'm more than satisfied with my trans, and if anyone is in need of having a trans done, I strongly recommend having Lavon with Firepunk do the work. :toast:

Yeah that'd be good. Not a huge shop, but they can sure hold their own.

I know those guys pretty well - mostly a Cummins shop - doubt Lavon would sponsor here - but at least one vendor here can sell you a "golden nugget" transmission built in Plain City Ohio by Firepunk Diesel - there might be others.

Had multiple discussions with Lavon when i was having my trans issues last year. definitely a knowledgeable guy who would be great to deal with! as you know jason, i went a different route, but he was on the top of my list for a built trans!

It worked out very well and was convent because the shop is only ten minutes from my house. Gotta love that gold!!! :rockon:

Josh if it wasn't for you saying something to Lavon about that chip, he might still be messing with it haha LOL Does your trans shift through pretty firm or is it smooth ?

Depends on my tune, shifts firm and will bark my chargers under 3/4 or more throttle now but still soft when I'm driving it easy. Alot has to do with my tuning though.

It sure wasn't helping matters any haha.

I still have the vb from Cale. Lavon ran line pressure tests on it, and I think he said it was making another 30 psi over stock so he thought it'd be fine to leave with it. Depending on the tune i have it in and how i'm driving, my shifts are firm but not slamming hard. You can sure feel it go into lockup though.

We need to get you set up with Beans tunes, I cant say I was impressed with your current ones when I drove it the other week so Lavon could show me what it was doing..

Shrub had a set he was gonna let me try out but I haven't mentioned it to him lately.
