I used to run one on the green motor and my factory motor for the added filtering capablity and volume, but never did on the last motor because I never expected it to last...

Anyone remember the part number for the damn thing? I just cant remember...

Like I said I ran it for a few years and it was great. Want to get back on to them on this motor.

My oil is still clean enough after about 1800-2000miles to see the dipstick in this filter

Havent seen a big filter thread for awhile. Does this filter really keep the oil that much cleaner? any noted pressure change issues? My filters dont see more than 3-4K anyway so the 3X expense over the motorcraft filter is questionable.

Dropping from the factory 20 micron filter to a 10/12, is there an issue with significantly more oil pressure thus opening the bypass?

I have been very happy (very good oil analysis) with the Napa Gold 1734 but if I could drop to 12 micron with no ill effect even better.

Ps..
I swapped over last summer to the Donaldson ELF, for me as I run Mobile 1 full synthetic 5-40w year round along with a Luber-Finer Zguard OTR Large by pass and have never ran oil analysis can't really say, but estimating it should be cleaner. I swap out the Donaldson every 6-7000 interval and 5 litres of oil and swap out full oil every 10 months or so. Total oil capacity for me is around 25 litres of oil iirc. My rough and dirty thinking is better than factory filtration, better oil, should be better... heh heh, I'll do analysis some day...

Flow is fine. ..keep in mind there is 4x more filter element. They have a pretty HD spring in them too.

i have often thought of these... to handy to get the stock motorcraft filter though... do you guys, not running the bypass setup, still change it at normal oci or do you extend them?

Yes I believe it keeps it cleaner. No drop in pressure that I noticed . I bought 6 of the fleetgaurd lf3374 for 65$ on eBay wich was Cheaper then I could get the factory ones
