Ok. Looking at my setup, I'm not happy about where the primary is pulling air from. (passenger side, top of radiator.)

Was thinking of removing the windshield washer jug, and pointing it down, but with all the rain this year...it's. It a great idea.

Shawn Elertons tow rig has a skookum looking hood that my wife even liked, and I think I could fab something to work kinda like an air box with it...

Anyone have any other options for gettin fresh air into the primary charger in a twin setup?

I have wanted to do something too. I hate where it is. I have thought of making a box that goes down and make it get air from the out side but I havent worked on it.

That's what I was thinking about...making a scoop under the bottom of the spoiler, and feed it up to the primaries inlet...but with all the crap in the way now...it's gonna be tough.

I think I remember seeing a ram-air style hood for super dutys too. You could make the scoops functional pretty easily I would think.

That's what i have for my truck. Ram air isnt really a performance thing. I'd say looks.are the.big thing. You get a ton more surface pressure on the grill area than you will ever get from a ram air hood

Yeah, but there isn't any amount of air flow around all the coolers on the passenger side, like there is on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

I'll see if I can grab some pictures...

Already looked at removing the headlight, but I would have to cut a major hole in the headlight area, as there is only a small hole for the wire connector to fit through.

I'm no good at math but i am guessing you would be very surprised at how much air you would see being pressed thru that little hole compared to a ram air hood

Its all about surface pressure. Not surface area to a certain extent. I will pull my grill tonight and sneak a peek.

I see where you are coming from with the air flow. But another thing to look at is guys running a/w set ups with ice water mixes are seeing below ambient temps with 450ish degree exit charger temps. That's where it's at!!! Plus you can choose when its operating and you have two functional headlights. And throw in that light bar just for the hell of it!!!

I have already done as much "zoodad" modifying to the passenger side as I can.
Next step would be cutting the top crossmember support out to make room for a tube to fit through so I could mount the filter basically right in front, but still behind the grill.(which ain't gonna happen)
