What is the difference in the OBS and SD front covers? How can you tell them apart?

as far as i know. The 1999 7.3 and ealier obs uses the same front cover with the non filter style resovoir gasket. And some of the 2000 motors as well. 2000-2003 use the filter style gasket with the machined lip. I think.

Will the Accessory brackets on a superduty bolt onto a obs front cover?

Before you go to far what year obs front cover. 94 and 95 will use a different front cover vs the 96 up. The hpop will have drainback problems if you put your 17* on. Also the SD cover has better casting.
But the holes are all in the heads for the accessories. I'm running a SD front cover in my OBS with no problems. You do have to swap some sensors around due to different plugs on the sensors.
The oil pick most likely will be opposite to your current on the obs so you'll need oil pan as well.

This probably won't help (more likely to muddy the waters), but even all OBS front covers are not the same (and I'm not sure of the year changes they happened):
A deareation valve was inserted in the front cover beginning with engine serial number 201681 through engine serial number 375549.
The front cover was redesigned starting with engine serial number 375549 to help keep the oil pump primed for initial start up.
To accommodate this change, the pump inlet port was rotated 90 degrees which moved the pickup tube from the left to the right.
The front oil cooler header gasket was also redesigned because of the change to the front cover.
The front cover has been modified for the updated reservoir to front cover gasket and passages have been cast and drilled into the front cover to incorporate the standpipe.
The engine serial number that the standpipe was incorporated is 201681.
There was a pretty good thread on PSN on this (I think it may have been Tom S who was a big part of it too). Cheers!

Im building a 96 OBS motor to go in my superduty to get rid of the pmrs. Trying to figure out what all i need to swap over.

Swap everything except Block, heads, rotating assembly, and valve covers lol.
