Does anybody know at what fuel temp does the pcm turn the fuel cooler pump on at? Im trying to flush my fuel cooler system and the pump will not circulate any coolant while the engine is running. I got the fuel rail temp up to 100-104 and no pumping action???????????????????????????

The fuel temp sensor in on the front of the underhood fuel filter housing, you should be able to unplug it and jumper the connector to make the PCM think the fuel is too hot and turn on the pump.

Just what i was looking for. You guys are awesome. You would think the pump would come on at a lesser temperature.

well i got a problem. I used a jumper to close the fuel rail temperature circuit and the pump did not pump. The temp on my dash daq went to the max which was around 250 degrees fuel rail temp when i closed the circuit but it did not trip the pump. Can anybody verify this method. The rest of the engine was fairly cold, but was running. I took the pump off and it runs when connected to 12 volts. WTF is going on??????

My pump ran constantly once after a head stud job when there was air trapped in the lines... fill up the system, if it doesnt run then it may be fine.... If it never circulates coolant until 160 degrees then it doesnt make a difference. Ive never seen fuel temps remotely close to that.
