Has anyone done any mods to move the fuel filter and water separator that are on the frame of the truck? Who was the Ford engineer who had the bright idea to put it here when they recommend changing the fuel filter every 10K? It's a pain to get to. It could have gone towards the back of the truck where there is much more room.

I think Airdog makes a kit. Look up a vender, I'm sure that can hook you up with what you need.

It takes all of 5 minutes to change a lower fuel filter on a 6.0 or 6.4, its not that bad. A long 3/8 ratchet with a shallow 36mm socket, and youre good. Maybe youre using the wrong tools or just havent done it enough times

If you don't have the right socket I can see where people hate doing them.

And on farm trucks around here there is ALWAYS mud packed all the way around the lid so you gotta take the time to clean that so it doesn't get in your new filter. It can be a pain sometimes. I'd rather change a 6.7 fuel filter anyday :)

I never had a problem replacing it myself but my trucks are allways clean.. It is a foolish design..
