So I drove my 02 f250 from Denver to Iowa last night and when I pulled into the driveway started smelling fuel and got out to check and found it spewing fuel on the passenger side so I popped the hood and found fuel in the radiator surge tank and it had pierced a hole in the surge tank which is where my leak was coming from. (had enough pressure that I had fuel down the entire passenger side of the truck, trailer and bronco I was hauling) Truck ran fine until I turned it off, I restarted the truck to uncouple the trailer and move the truck out of the way, then it was running rough and sounded like it had a fuel knock. I immediately shut it down. This morning I started it just to see if it had lost its fuel prime and it popped right off so I shut it off right away. I didn't notice any smoke or missing or any noticeable symptoms except my mileage was worse than usual. What do you think I'm looking at bad injector cups? Injectors? Any ideas would help as I'm stuck in Iowa now! Thanks Tyler

start taking out injectors. during run time, fuel psi over powers coolant psi, when ya shut it off, coolant pressure seaps back into injector cup, therefore runing bad.... get them sticks out now and start to pressurize system. Even if one is leaking, Id replace all

cups, but you will need to replace all seals and o-rings. remember placement of loctite on new cups is important as well as cleaniness of heads

no. just when you tap the cups with the tools, shoot a glob of grease down in the bottom to catch all the shavings. I use mini injection pump plugs, but it doesnt sound like those are readily available to you

Put a penny in the bottom of the cup to stop the shavings. Fits perfectly. I second the injector cups. Went through the same thing last year.

Just for reference could someone point me in the direction of how to replace your injector cups like a write up of some sorts?
