I have a 2016 6.7 I ******d about a month ago with ppei/ ez link, no limit egr block off, & flo pro ****** pipe with mbrp quiet tone muffer in ****** pipe (I cut it). My fuel mileage has gone down and its not my right foot being to heavy. Before weight loss I could get 20mpg @ 65mph, now with weight loss on a 100 mile trip yesterday I was getting 15.8 avg mpg @ 65mph. Any thought? I have the programmer on stock hp setting right now. I am not expecting miracles, but was not expecting worse mpg.

I've noticed winter fuel has really put a damper on my MPG. I can't seem to do better than 18MPG when normally I am around 20 MPG.

Winter fuel does make a big difference, but usually the hottest tune and a light foot will net the best milage. Did you ever hand calculate the 20mpg and the new milage vs just what the dash is reading? Ive had some tunes show the milage pretty far off in the past.

What power level have you been running ? An intake can definitely help as well.

I have been keeping it on stock and 75 hp tow tune. I still have the stock intake. My main reason for weight loss was to not have to deal with the truck always regen. Do you think ppei could do anything to help the tune? Really just looking for a little more mpg, not extra power but I understand it is a truck

it's a very bad time to do fuel economy comparisons, the hottest tunes generally yield the best MPG though, that is if you can keep your foot out of it, I only run Cenex Roadmaster in my 6.7 and don't drive it much during the winter so it's still full of regular #2, but my work pickup is also a diesel and has lost about 6mpg on average this winter.

I live along the east coast it is very flat. I do love the fact that it won't start a regen when I'm a mile from my house, and my oil is staying much cleaner. Would a after market air intake make any difference?

Are you hand calculating or going off your dash? My dash is always wrong saying I'm getting 2-4 more mpg than I'm really getting. I hand calculate and always see an improvement and I get my best mileage on my hottest tune. Running ppei and ez as well with full ******s and intake.

I've noticed my truck gets much better MPG when I'm in the lower RPMs with my No Limit stage 2 intake. Night and day difference.

I'd suggest hand calculating the MPG to confirm your numbers. Sometimes tunes change the way fuel consumption is calculated.

Don't expect to get any better then stock. I never did. Last tank I got 15.6. I'm happy.

100 miles of driving is not the best measurement of MPG results. Winter blended fuel is the biggest hold up right now. The stock computer can be pretty damning to owners. The reality is you need to perform consistent refuels to know the reality of your MPGs. I have used the Fuelly app to track my usage to see the dash is off on both gallons used and it's calculation of MPGs. Not to mention if you are using additives or not.

Considering I live in the same area as the OP I can state I have held a pretty steady 16-ishMPG city with the winter blends and modded. HWY can get to 18+ if driven over 7-8 hours averaging 70+ MPH. I run I95/I85 quite often with the ability to go VA-GA on a single CCLB tank of fuel. During the summer MPGs are SO much better. I have even recently seen HWY MPGs being a tad better (maybe 1MPG) when driving steady over 75 MPH. My best HWY speed average has been 72 MPH over 8 hours driving.

Another big contributor could be idle time. I know that I have been letting my truck warm up in the mornings for 10-15 minutes before I leave. I also have a 1200 RPM high idle installed that kicks in after being on for a minute. That kills my average MPG pretty quickly, on top of my heavy foot and winter blend fuel.
For example, I hand calculated 15.8 MPG in my last tank of roughly 350 city & highway miles. The computer told me I did 17 MPG.

Today I did 20.9 MPG according to the computer all highway driving between 70-76 MPH. Which is probably more like 19.5 MPG if I were to hand calculate. (I did the weight loss, have intake, and custom tune running in the hottest setting)
