Just an FYI. Maybe it was just one, maybe all. I cant be certain. But we recently had a 7.3 come in. customer replaced oil pan and front cover. Could not get it to fire. We were not getting cam signals.
Long story short we ground down a cam sensor to go deeper into the cover, it registered and fired up. Turns out the front cover was thicker than OEM and the cam sensor was too far away...
We also came across a coolant passage that lead to nowhere... It wasnt machined and is a very vital port from the oil cooler...
It was a Dorman..... Beware cause this cost the customer twice as much.
