Gearhead SRLXX tune!!!

Just got my SRLXX tune from Matt at Gearhead and I just gotta say that this tune is awesome!!! I had been running Eric's XtreemStreet for the past 3-4 yrs and wanted to try something different, and I'm sure glad I did! The trans tuning Matt does is simply amazing! And serious on the power side also! I will be leaving this tune on my truck for a a good while I'm sure!

That great, but do you realize that Eric has two tunes that are bigger than the xtreme street? You can't compare Matt's SRLXX to Eric's X-street if that's Matt's biggest hp tune. Eric also has a xtreme race and the biggest is his xtreme X.

Yea I know that lol I had Eric's XtreemRace tune when I was running nitrous and it never really shifted quite right. I considered going with Eric's new high HP tune but really wanted to try out a different tuners offerings.

the extreme x shifting just plain blows compered to srl. matt knows how to make a truck shift perfect.

I have had idp tunes and when it comes to shifting/and daily driving tune GEARHEAD stands alone they are spot on and crisp not harsh. jmo

You guys know they are "custom" tunes for a reason?? They will tweak shifting to you liking. Not supporting anyone tuner here cause I have run about 5 different ones. But they will make adjustments if you ask.

had tunes tweaked 4-5 different times still not as good as srl out of the box just sayin... this is not bashing or cuttin anyone down i am just impressed with how well matts tunes perform without tweaks

Have can attest to this! Eric had tweaked my tunes a few times and go it good enough to get by I guess. Matt's SRLXX needs nothing for my liking! Just load it on and roll with it.

Sometimes I don't think it's a matter of one being "better" than the other, than it is just about personal taste. As good as Eric and Matt both are, neither one will ever be able to please EVERY single 6.0 owner... it just wont happen.

That is a very valid point. I also believe that different trucks respond differently to different tunes. Just boils down to a matter of personal likes and dislikes.

Idp customer severice is better than gearhead. Not that Matt is bad but he's just busy guy and sometimes takes a couple days to get back to you

I didn't have any problem getting in touch with him. Maybe it has been worse for some people.
