glow plug 2 grommet leaks oil, I have done a good amount of work trying to figure this out. I have contacted the dealer I got the truck from and they are not offering to take care of anything for me. they also sold me the truck with no cats or *** and didn't disclose it to me.
ok 1st a back story of the truck.
I got the truck on 10/11 94k on it from a ford dealer
10/17 t stats went out so I replaced them. While doing so I found the whole driver's side of the engine to be covered in oil. cleaned the block and sprayed it with tracing powder. checked it 2 days later and it seemed like the lower EGR cooler was cracked slightly and leaking. so I ordered a block off kit.
10/24 removed EGR, throttle, and coolers, in doing so I found the dipstick tube had no o-ring, so I replaced it while removing the full EGR system. cleaned block and sprayed with tracing powder again. 2 days later I would glow plug 2 grommets is leaking oil
10/29 replaced glow up harness on the driver's side. 10/31 found oil all over the block again and grommet 2 is leaking.
11/8 I had a relative compression test done found cly 2 to be 5% low. removed glow plug and checked it and didn't see anything out of the blue. reinstalled drove the truck until today and found oil shooting out again from cly 2 glow plug grommet.
11/10 I will be doing an actual compression test.
only things I can see causing this issue, would be:
worn valve guide
cracked head
cracked piston
worn rings
leaking glow plug
