So I took all the badges off my truck and want to DIY the patch-work. My father had done body work in the past and my grandfather passed down some paint guns that are only a few years old.

Anyone do this on their own?

My truck is debadged and and shaved all the way around. I did all the work myself as an amateur.

Save you some time on the searching.

I effed up doing the tailgate where the Ford emblem is and warped the metal a little.

Even the plastic caps are shaved.

You did all that body work in that lil single stall garage?

I definitely need to man up and just do it.....

I only need fenders and tail badge

Yup with no experience and a whole lot of time I got it done.

If you have any knowledge of body work you should be able to knock it out. The first time I ever did any welding was on the tailgate.

WOW! I am impressed, one thing I am worried about though if the finish since it will be glossed and clear coated.

More time on the prep work. Dont start painting until you have it perfect.

Since mine will eventually end up in a real body shop for a real paint job I wasn't worried about getting it to 100 percent. I am not a fan of doing body work.

I am in the process of building a small "shop", 40x30. It will have a lift so I think I have everything, but the balls to start haha.

Thats what I was telling everyone when I started cutting the frame on a truck that I just bought and paid $5k for. Its only money and if I mess it up its time to start parting it out. LOL
