If your dead set on compounds. Charles setup seems to be the cats a$$. His first setup was 300/200s I believe with a 38r feeding a GT4708. Netted him a clean smoke free 600ish to the ground. And the ability to tow more then Ford ever intended with a F350.

You have an OBS so you would need to change mounting for the high pressure charger. A T4 mount would be best as it gives you tons of housing size and chargers to choose from.
S465 feeding S488 or so. No clue what housing sizes to run, but you would need to wastegate. Tial 46mm should work from what Ive read.
That being said I have never run or even been in a truck that has compounds. I can recall shortbus disliking any small maintence needed as you now have more work to pull piping off just to get to the motor. Think glowplugs. Double the hrs to change them.
That being said there is no single that can do everything a good set of compounds can do. Period. A GT42r or GTX42 or S475 will not compare to twins in low end response. However you deal with the hassle of two chargers and alot harder to trouble shoot leaks, drive pressure and wastegate problems or tweaks. General maintenace as well as cost to buy the turbos and either build or pay to have the piping built.

And FWIW. If your gonna do compounds, spend the money and buy "Big" oil. A twin pump or gen3 setup will only aid in the low end response your after in considering compounds. The SRP 1 will not come close to the flow of say termies or gen3 stealth twins BTS whichever etc.

You have a 5spd which will inherit more problems with a big single as everytime you shift you have to get the turbo moving every time.
Twins would definately help. However there isnt many clutches out there suited for DD and towing that will hold up to that power level day in and out. A big reason Chuckles swapped in a 4r.

an s400 series turbo with a billet wheel, you dont need compounds unless you plan to tow heavy or at altitude. But they definitely are nice, dont get me wrong, just lots of money.

200% nozzle with some sort of dual oil system, dont mess around with a single

Im planing on using the same injectors (300/200) and I am going to run the S468 with a Billet wheel and race cover. How it smokes, or not, will be up to your tuner!

s465
gt4294r
gtx4294r

would be my suggestions on turbos, the gtx will probably spool the best and flow the most at low rpms but its also the most expensive. i'd go with an srp1 or a stage 2 stealth.

It all depends what you can afford. A GTX turbo like a 4294r is going to be the premium most likely, but your looking at 2500 just for a turbo.

I would stick with a s400 series, they come in all shapes and sizes and different wheel options to get you where you need to be.

Id say you want to go with something in the s475 category with todays tuning and options, especially with 200% nozzles and dual oil.... your truck will be nasty for a stock engine

If a guy v-bands his connections on a set of.compounds wouldnt boost leaks be unnecesary to.worry about?

Aside from that, it.only takes ten seconds to loosen boots on a connection that is friction fit. Hows that a drawback when you pull valvecovers every two years OR less? I mean, if you are needing to pull valvecovers often you've got bigger problems than compounds being a hassle to work around during.maintenance. Just my perspective.
