Got a new bed on and rust repaired!

I had the new bed painted and the rear doors and cab corner rust fixed, it looks nice but the new white is real bright, and my old white was real yellow! I clay bared it and buffed with swirl remover And it looks a lot better but still not perfect. But I will say it looks way better than it did!!

I bought some plasticoat and was going to black out all the chrome and do the wheels. Was also thinking of doing a black stripe here. What do you think?

Looks good, awesome to hear an OBS was saved..... and no stripe. Leave it the way it is with no trim!

Ok, we'll my issue is this, on the drivers side door and front fender where the side molding was sticks out because they clear coated with them on there. This is only on the drivers side and not the passenger. I should have just had the whole thing painted but that is

In that case... get some trim and put it back on, but no black stripe.

I might try to, I'm terrible with body work!! I also might just let the guy paint the rest of the truck like I should have in the first place!

Looks good-- Agreed, Id have the body guy do a little blending if you are not comfortable. I've been a pussy but swear I'm going to try my own hand at body work on my truck if I end up keeping it.

Well I just called the guy that did the work, he told me another $650 to do the rest of the truck, so total I will have $1150 in the paint and $450 in the "new" bed. He wont be able to get to it till the end of Feb, but I should have it done for the race season!!

damn, I wish I could find someone that cheap to paint mine.

I need 0 body work and best quote I got was 3k IF I strip tore it all down, remove everything etc.

Yeah, he does classic cars as his side job. I really was expecting to spend more but he hooked me up because a buddy of mine is going to bring him 2 of his trucks to be done.
