....and transmission. Apparently my stocker was still in good shape, as I suspected, as there wasn't a huge difference right off the bat. What I did notice is the truck feels more connected and heavier, I'll try to explain. Connected -It seems as though I can feel the driveline similar to that of a manual trans. The transmission no longer absorbs throttle changes but rather transfers the changes immediately. Heavier - Maybe this is a figment of my imagination but the center of the truck just feels heavier. There is a definate weight difference between the stocker and the BTS, I could tell by just sliding the transmission in and out of the truck but I highly doubt I would be able to tell once installed, but I can. The weight difference that I feel may just be the fact that the truck is more connected. Now, after about 150 miles and several heat cycles the trans does seem to have broken in some. On the stock trans there was quite a bit of difference between the converted locked and unlocked about 300 RPMs. Now, there is not much difference between locked and unlocked, only about 150 rpms at most. This tells me the TC is much more efficient. The trans does run a little warmer, which others have report the same thing. My stock trans never got about 154 and the BTS seems to settle in at about 175. I may try a bigger cooler to see if it will keep it a little cooler but will try towing something first just to see. Anyway, the best part is I don't have to worry about the trans.
