GPR Re Ocurring Problem?

What would cause a GPR to keep failing one after another? I have never had this problem , but , a person I know is having this issue. He claims to have to put a new one on at least once a yr.

Where is he getting them from? Only other idea I have is if a wiring issue is in play.

If he is just picking up the NAPA gpr109 or the one from Auto Zone that may be all the life that they have.

I would recomend that he just pick up a Stancor 586-902 and be done with it.

Sounds exacly like what ^ these guys are saying. Just a junky GPR. Ive been through 2 in 2 years, when the one I have now goes I will be getting a Stancor. You can contact Paul At Complete Performance for a great price on one shipped for your friend.

This guy claims he has gotten them from several different sources. I have replaced a couple of mine , but, I havent replaced one in 6-7 yrs. I have a 95 F-SD and I have never replaced it in the 8 yrs I have owned it. One of the units that got replaced in my 96 was done at a garage and there is no telling what they put back in it, but , never the less they just done fail . The one in the 97 was a BW from Oreilly's still no trouble out of it.
