Here we go...

I have a 2008 f-250, around 150,000 miles, I have had thermostats changed, water pump changed, belts changed, service done, and oil temp sensor changed, and the blend motor.

The problem still goes on...

While driving the truck for the first 20 - 30 min everything is ok. But... After that, the engine temp spikes, I get then"reduced engine power" light, and the green wrench light comes on. And the heat blows cold... Then warm for a few seconds.. Then back to cold.

Please help guys... I think the mechanic has gave up

Find someone better. To work on the truck

Whats done to the truck? Tuner? Etc. Sounds like the cooling system is being upset by exhaust pressure, or compression. Once this happens, the system airates. The heater core will be the first place that suffers first. Its one of the highest points in the system, and air travel up. Air locking the core.

How is it if you let it sit and idle for a bit after?

Also where did joe mechanic get the thermostats?

Truck is stock, I think.

If I stop the truck it's like the vehicle resets its self... If I keep driving the truck when it "over heats" the temp goes back to normal. And the green wrench goes off. I'm not sure where the thermostats come from.

Also it seams like the "cleaning exhaust filter" comes on a lot, and the truck goes nuts (see above)

Your dpf filter may be getting clogged, and you probably have a seperate cooling system issue, theyre horrible for engine life anyways so now would be a great time to delete it
