Grill opinions

I'm wanting to freshin the look up on my 08 some. Plans are cowl hood, painted "harley style" headlights, Spearco or No Limit intercooler and possible a new grill. The truck has a painted FX4 grill at the moment which I do like but the grill has a small crack in it that bugs me. I'm open to some other sugestions aswell.

So..

Keep the Painted FX4 Grill

Or

Go with this new mesh grill from fleabay

If anyone has any experience with the Ebay grill please let me know, its less than acouple hundred bucks so I may buy it just to try out the look anyways.

I had one from the same place on my old 6.0. Quality was actually pretty good for the price. Mesh was metal, but the surround was plastic and kinda cheap. Id prolly buy another one.

Before you order a grill, let me check my Ford dealer and see if he'll give me another deal like he did me. I paid $450 for my Harley grill.

But of these options, I say FX4.

I'm in the same boat as you man. Id love to have a harley grille but the price is the only problem. Im also debating on the new grille from ptp. It looks very similar to the one you posted. But i have a chrome package grille and want to change it BAD!

paint the surround.. leave the middle bars. it'll look great IMO.

Idk man I'm still on the fence about it. I'm thinking about getting ptps grille and painting the mesh silver to match the 2 tone and leve the surround black.

I wouldn't. Mesh grilles look cheap to me. I think it would take away from your truck.

Now I'm afraid too lol. I guess I might have to start with painting the chrome package grille black and go from there.

this. if anything I'd change to the grille where you insert the horizontal bars in the factory shell. that looks great IMO
