. Sorry for so many new threads..In regards to installing gtp38r and new pedestal, I took the truck for a 120 mile ride today first ride after install.

When I removed inter cooler tubes before install had some oil in them, Cleaned them all real good, when I got home after first ride with new turbo I checked them and there was some oil in them again, could be some oil was in intercooler? got some oil in middle of freshly cleaned valley to, dont know how got there, maybe coming out of intake boots before goin in intake.

Also the exhaust side of turbo were it meets EBPV plate on the cast turned blue a little, only on the new part of turbo I reused the EBPV PLATE, that was not blue. Only blue were the threads to the bolts that hold EBPV PLATE ON are. Is that normal? obviously from heat, My egts never got higher than 900f Im positive, I only punched it 1 time.

I hate to admit this but i did not hook up the tube for MAP sensor to the intake, from what i can find the PCM should have estimated if the sensor failed so hopefully not hooking tube up didnt do anything to bad? Stupid, took my time installing it, cant belive I missed it!

What should I do?

what is ccv? I did not re route anything. I did just hook it back up but I wanted to hear what anyone had to say about the blueing on the exhaust side of turbo before I drove it again.

Crankcase vent. Top of the driver side valve cover. From the factory it vents into the intake, which in turn puts in the IC and IC pipes

If the valley has oil in it you probably have an oring where the turbo mounts that is leaking. But it's hard to tell when I'm not there.

Lol, yea its weird,Turbo and pedestal completely dry, they are not leaking. Just wet right in middle of valley, nothing from sides dripping down into valley.
So is it normal to have some oil residue in the IC pipes because of that crank case vent? I was worried for a second that the old turbo was leaking a little oil and the intercooler had some oil in it.
Has anyone ever seen the turbo housing turn a shade of blue? Obviously from heat could it be from me forgetting the tube for map sensor? F***ing pissed took my time hole job went nice n smooth to see that after driving it for 100+ miles killed me.

Is the oil coming from the hpop. That's sounds like your oil culprit more than anything else if the pedestal is dry.

With map line off, you were loosing some boost too, shouldn't have damaged anything though, just blew a lot of air around. As for the ccv, you should consider re routing it, or you'll just continue to put oil back into your IC pipes and all

Why do they vent it into the turbo inlet? What is the reason for that? Ur 38r acted differently when you rerouted it? Any idea why. Im running schaffers full syn, 5-40. I dont want to lose a drop of it! Lol

Can you elaborate?
crank case built pressure and started pushing oil through the turbo seals. no thanks. so mine stays.

international vented them to atmosphere. ford put them in the inlet to get rid of the smell. it also creates a slight vacuum so there's no crank case pressure.. depending on miles on the turbo, id leave the ccv in the intake.. start pushing oul through the turbo and it might take it out as it did my brothers at 220k.

I ran mine through a "seperator", then tied back to the stock location. Takes care of most of the oil in the intercooler.
