Anyone using H&S on their 6.0? From what I understand Mike @ KEM can custom tune these for 6.0's now? Do they offer transmission tuning with the H&S? Is it on par with custom tuned SCT's?

I don't know about the 6.0L tuning, but I have the XRT Pro on my 6.4L and you can switch power on the fly and custom tune the trans.

But I guess you can't assume they do it for all models...

you can't shift H&S tunes on the fly with the XRT? just mini maxx and black maxx. and can't shift KEM on the fly ever.

but it's a totally dif game on the 6.0s

The only problem I see with the H&S is only one guy can tune it. With the SCT you have so many options for tuners.

As long as you leave the XRT Pro plugged in, you can change your power levels on the fly on the 6.0 and 6.4 both.

Hmmm.

With the 6.0/5R110 shift on the fly was always a big no-no because the trans is fully incapable of shifting on the fly, or so I thought. So, power would increase, but the trans settings wouldn't adjust for the new power with the flick of a switch like that, it always had to be programmed... how is this possible on the 6.4 and not the 6.0, or are they just not tuning the trans like that?

They just suggest a trans relearn when you change the power levels. The XRT isn't designed to work as a shift on the fly but it can. It adjusts the trans in the same way as the 6.4, what I'm told by H&S. Haven't had any concerns show up so far with them.

Yeah, so it sounds like they don't actually "tune" the trans by accessing the TCM like the custom SCT's can... Interesting.

I run an XRT on my 6.0 and I am very happy with it. It is shift on the fly and even on the hot tune after just switching tunes the shifting is very smooth and it runs very strong.

Ive had it on my truck for about 5k miles now and couldnt be happier. 183k miles on the original headgaskets and no puking still and Ive run it hard.

Id recommend H&S for sure

Well they do tune the trans it just wont allow for sotf when cuatom tunes are on it

Ok thanks for the clarification. That makes more sense. So once you have the H&S, and load custom tunes on, it's really just the same as the SCT. KEM will tune these too correct? So he offers custom tuning through H&S and SCT. SCT is cheaper and you can get tunes from a lot more people... seems like SCT is still the way to go/stay?

Thanks for all the input guys. I was having a discussion with a fellow 6.0 owner who is running H&S stuff, and I suggested he look at Mike @ KEM for some tunes. Just wasn't clear on the trans tuning.
