Has anyone mounted a monitor like this?

I'm thinking about an Edge CS monitor but I flat refuse to hang it off the glass or anywhere else for that matter. I was thinking about grabbing one of the dash mounts to steal the rubber part it pushes in to and cutting that hole in the flat part of the headliner in front of the sunroof. Bare in mind I'm 6'7" so my seat is all the way back and I can see that spot just fine when driving. Has anyone done anything similar? Pics maybe? Also...is the wire for the CS long enough to reach that spot?

if it wold fit i would hide it in the sunglass holder. I usually put the snow controllers in the dash pocket on the 05+ sd right side of the column.

I thought about putting my CTS in that pocket.... didn't wanna move all my nitrous switches ..... they're in there now...

Hey Rich..... I'm sure you'll come up with somewhere slick to put it..... when ya do....let me know... cause I couldn't find one good place to mount it, other than the windshield, that I could still see it good.

have you seen the headliner mount BK mounts makes? headliners are $$ if you don't like it once its installed

They make a CTS mount that goes on top of the right air vent. Looks fairly clean. I ran one like that for awhile

Could you post a picture please? I have a system that I was thinking about installing, but I'm way OCD and can't have switches in plain sight.

Negative. The monitor can't be anywhere on or near the dash...that space will be used for stereo parts.

use the cts and mount and get custom with it. so much nicer than the cs .

Shoulda known.

I made a mount for my truck that mounts by the visor. Kinda done up quick and needs some revisions but it works great.

I have DP Tuners Infinitey with his head liner mount. Sits up in the left corner of my windshield.

Sounds like your big into car audio. So you should have a good fiberglass guy or be good at it yourself. Make a custom mount either the map light/ sunglasses holder. Mold it on so it angled down at the driver

I was going to mold my mini maxx into one of the two cup holder compartments in the front console. But saw the price of the replacement cup holders and just hid it in my console
