I'm gonna get ready and do my headgaskets again. What can I do to prevent them from blowing again. I'm studded and deleted with a 72mm turbo ans stock fuel. My heads were machined and got hardened valve seats. If my head are still good when they come off I'll reuse them if not I'll buy another set. Is there anything I can do diff to make them last this time.

Are you pulling engine completely out like you would a 6.0 powerstroke (pull front clip etc)??? If so how hard is this? Sorry haven't read a whole lot on this process, I have been hunting down a lift with no luck.

Yes, and they are actually easier than a 6.0

Excuse my lack of knowledge of the 6.4 but, do they make cometic head gaskets for that engine or no point of doing so?

I've been talking with White Monster about this process too. I'm ordering parts this coming week and going for it second week of November. I'm chomping at the bit fellers! Any pointers or tips hawgdocter or anyone for that matter I appreciate it.

Not to scare you or anything but I thought I read a whole bunch of threads on 6.4s cracking blocks that were already studded and when redoing head gaskets with reinstalling head studs again?

it can happen on the first go round too...
i think if you have a properly calibrated torque wrench and do it right, there should not be a problem.

This will be my trucks third time on studs. First fine a machine shop messed my heads up puttin valve seats in. So it got another set an they're held up until now. So a cracked block don't worry me. We have had good luck so far.
