headlight problem

Low beams have been cutting out intermittently lately. When this happens, both low beams go out. Marker lights and high beams work fine.

Installed a Gos Performance headlight harness (wires directly to batteries) and Silverstar bulbs years ago. Never had issues.

Visually inspected harness wiring and grounds, but found nothing. When low beams go out, no amount of wiggling or prodding wiring or connectors gets them going.

What next?

I had a GOS harness do the same.

Cheap connectors oxidized and overheated.

Plug the factory harness in and see if it still does it.

I'd rather not thorw parts at it in hopes of fixing, so no headlight switch yet. Will plug in the factory harness and see what happens. Hopefully years of being unplugged and exposed won't have ruined factory connectors...

You don't have to buy it. Do you know anybody near you with a 7.3 superduty you can swap with just to check?
