I have a 2008 250 that for the majority of it's life has had HID's in it. Back in July I had to take them off and got back to stock on a long trip due to the HIDs just going off driving down the road. Today I got another set of HIDs and after installing I had nothing. No low beams or high beams. Put stock lights back in there and no low beams but have high beams. I checked all fuses and relays I can. When I have the low beams on with stock bulbs they try to light up as soon as I put them in but turn right off. Any clue as to what I got going on?

New HIDs were throwing a code. Got the resistors/code eliminators on an problem is gone. Never thought to check codes since I didn't get a CEL. Feel dumb but now I know.

When I had HID's on the dually I never installed resistors or anything.
I ran everything through relays and the stock wires being the trigger wires.
That is odd though.
I am not a fan of HID's in reflector housings. Run relays and 80/100 Watt bulbs and have a better light pattern.

I never had to use them on my DDM's but got a good deal on Kensun's and decided to give them a try. So far no issues and light up the road good. Gotten a few birds thrown at me already too. Lol.

Ddm is what I had. Multiple sets between my Tacoma dually and my Rhino. I couldn't get bulbs or ballasts to last very long. P

Mine always seemed to last a little over a year then one would act up. I ended up with two sets and would just swap out the bad for the good and then send the bad off for warranty.

That's what I did for awhile till I was on a camping trip through the mountains and the Ballasts took a crap. Drove with the fogs on and one bulb went out. I was done then. Went back to normal bulbs for reflector housings and 80/100 watts. Much more useable light pattern and I don't get flashed.
