Okay guys I had a issue where my headlights would come on sometimes, but not othertimes. Thought it was an HID issue so I bought a new kit from retrosolutions. Here we are a week later and I have the same problem. The fog lights work still, but the headlights will not come on no matter where I have the switch. I'm thinking the problem may be in the switch on the dash but not really sure?

Help is much appreciated, tired of being one of the dudes driving around with my running lights and fogs on..

Medicine Hat... Again
Check your relay boot. The harness can sometimes loosen and makes a bad connection. I went through 2 kits and a few frustrated days trying to sort it out. Once I found the problem I crazy glued the sucker together and no problems since.

Hope you find it Dan. But its somewhere to start.

I have had the same issue since new. Put Retros kit on when the truck had 2000mi and only one would come on, sometimes neither would come on. They sent me a capacitor to try to fix the problem but one of the ballasts blew before I had a chance to try it and I bought another kit.

Sub'd to find the fix

best thing to do is install a stock light for just a min to see if they come on, if they do then you know to move on to something else hid related

don't have the stock lights.

You mean the relay boot on the HID harness right?

okay cool I'll be sure to take a look at it tomorrow. Depending on what the switch costs I may swing by the ford dealer and pick a new one up and see if that fixes it.

it was the relay, didn't even have to pull the sleeve back, just moved it around and they came back on. Looks like I'll be finding a place where its happy and zip tying it there. I did just have it hanging
