Where is the best place to get my heads deck for my 6.0 in northern Colorado?
What's the best way, and time to check for blow by?

You're 45 mins from Elite Diesel. Give them a call. I'm sure they could do the work for you or recommend a place for you.

Elite us usually pretty swamped with big custom builds

That they are but they can at least recommend someone in the area. That's the downfall with some businesses, they have great products but if you don't have gobs of cash, you're essentially nothing. Shouldn't stop them from recommending a place though.

Honestly, any competent machine shop can deck the heads. I would just call around your area.

Called them, but 6k is to much.
I know it's a lot of work, I messed up last year. We went off international specs, my heads were withen a 10 thousands of flat, and international said not to deck heads so we didn't. I also used the river city gaskets.

Has anyone else not decked the heads and had luck, or is internationals spec wrong?

I know of a good one in Fort Collins, AMS they do great on our gas motors. Just wanting to know who the locals use.

I called told them I just did my heads last year, and asked how much they would charge me to redo mine. He said its 6k. Not sure what all was included. But I told him I did oil cooler HPOP glow plug harns last year.

There is a break down in communication somewhere. Elite stage 1 heads are not 6k. Not even close. Did you ask for a quote on more work/parts to come with them by chance?
