Correct me if I'm wrong but the course thread end (M12X1.75) goes into the block and the fine (M12X1.25) side goes in the nut?

Thanks

Knew that much, just was trying to figure out some measurements for some ARP 625+ 7.3 headstuds.

There should be 8 shorter studs in the kit. They go under the injectors.

What exactly are you trying to measure?

Stud protrusion through the head. Having to modify a stud to work. Just needed to verify before I signed the PO.

If arp is custom making you some 7.3 625 studs, just have them make the new studs based off the regular 7.3 studs?

The difference in price is over $2000. They'd have to take a piece of round stock, tool up for it, etc, etc, etc. It's much cheaper to modify existing stock. Time is also a factor, 2-3 weeks vs 8+ months.

Pretty much what it all boils down to. I got it all figured out now and I should be good to go, ran the numbers they gave me and I should be good. Just waiting on a final drawing.

Did you ever consider extreme studs made out of h13 material. Better material and no wait. I actually ordered mine last week.

I'd personally rather have ARP. I was not impressed with lack of response when I asked those guys if they had any 7.3 customers running over 100PSI. I know the 625+ will take whatever I want to throw at it. Trying to build a 10 second truck, I want people that will actually respond and not treat me like another penny-less jerkoff off the street.

I personally know a guy running 2500BHP using ARP2000 studs and his only failure was the actual block itself. Bad factory heat treating. Ripped the stud out. So honestly they're likely all over kill but a little extra insurance is worth what I have tied up in this engine.
