Ok so I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the brake switch recall thing. I had it done not to long ago to avoid fires haha and so the other day I was just checking things in the compartment and found this unhooked. It's been taped like it was together so I'm guessin just put it back together maybe tape it better haha? Anybody know for sure what it is and if there is any reason why it should be unhooked?

Thanks in advance

Have you traced the wire back to see where it goes?

No I was on my way to school so I didn't really have time to check it out too much........ It looks like it and the wire coming off the plug on the brake master cylinder both go down towards the ground I don't know if it just comes of the master cylinder goes down and then loops back up as the wire that I am looking at or it they are two separate wires..... I'll go look some more when I get a chance, I was just hoping somebody might know off the top of their head. It kinda looks like maybe this is the cheap way the dealer hooked in the in-line fuse for the recall maybe????? like instead of putting in the proper connector they just used this crappy splice thing and taped the sht out of it? idk  Here's some more pics

thanks guys

Looks like they jiggaboo rigged it man. The connector off the master cylinder looks right but the other part I haven't a clue.

All they did was put in that nice new jumper harness and brake switch sensor, what you've got there looks like someone else's rigging job.

Notice how the rigging job is just as dusty as the rest of your truck, and the stuff the dealer replaced isn't?

I wouldn't suggest accusing the dealer of doing that, it sems pretty obvious to me that was previous to their work on your truck.

Yeah you're prolly right thanks....... I wouldn't go in chewin ass or anything but I would have asked if it was their work..... So they don't put an inline fuse in as well while they are at it? It was already there? I guess I thought that was what the recall was for
