Got a call from my dad today and he said his o/d light is blinking and the transmission isn't shifting right on his 03 450 (early 03, so it has a 7.3 and 4r100). I told him to check the codes on his cts and he pulled a p1670 and p1746. I know the p1670 was there before he left, but the p1746 is new and I'm not sure what he should do.
He took the fifth wheel out to Kentucky on Sunday and drove through all that rain. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.
What I gather from searching the internet is that it is an open circuit code for the solenoid. I told him to inspect the wiring harness tomorrow, but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for a more definite fix.
