What's up guys, I'm trying to get some helper bags for my truck but not sure if it's possible with a 7" lift. I like the Carli long travel bags. I am assuming there are spacers but want to know if they effect the bags performance or rating.

Thanks.

I run bags on the back of my truck with the OUO traction blocks and stock rear springs and have the bags mounted to the bump stop plates on the traction blocks as they stay the same as it would have from factory. But if you are running a full leaf pretty much the only option is the long travel bags

Called carli today And their long travel won't work with a 7" lift. Any other suggestions?

The owner of 8 lug truck gear George did this on his superduty. I believe a air bag kit for a 2wd truck with no block and then added the day star cradle for the bag to sit it.

And I'm ordering this setup today. Just what I have been looking for. Thanks a lot.

Carli LT's would work the same way I made my firstone's work on my truck: Fabrication... For instance, that picture Arconalloy posted clearly shows you could easily add some stock on the bottom mount to bump it up to whatever inches you want.

I'd take that picture, get the exact bed plate dimensions from Carli, and take it to any metal fab shop, and they'll be able to make you a new bed plate.

I run over the leaf firestones with 8" lift springs and the Daystar cradle

i just modified the mount and added some material ( there is cross bracing you can't see in the pic)
here is a pic before i added the Daystar
this has worked fine for years and with a 4000lb truck camper

now if you have overloads or a fith wheel then this may not be ideal
but i really do not like the inboard bags they take up axle space I use for traction bars and sway control
