so our f550 cab and chassis work truck blew the head gaskets and we dont have a lift to pull cab so were doing it by pulling the engine. 30000 miles and an '07. all pulling atleast 15 tons. plans are arps with oem gaskets, deletes fuel system clutch, live wire with a couple tunes mainly just for gauges, intake exhaust and maybe some intercooler tubes. if any of you guys have any input or tips it would be greatly appreciated!!!

I wouldn't even bother with the intercooler tubes unless your changing the plastic one to the metal one.

30,000 or 300,000?

Like stated I wouldn't bother with intercooler piping unless going from plastic to metal...or upgrading the intercooler

No need to pull the motor. Can easily be done with motor in the truck and cab down. But it's up to you.

I would just get a x3 and skip the livewire then get a CTS for gauges.

600 monitor? Cts is 399 and can do more than the lw And is a way better platform and can be expanded to monitor anything you want. And sct sucks at reading codes. Edge does a great job.

Do what you wish tho I'm just offering my opinion from my exsperance with both.

I was wondering about that. LW is cheaper, but the CTS seemed to be a better monitor. I have an old LW, bc it was $free.99 lol.

Live wire is ok...but the insight offers more...it reads ebp and a few other things that the livewire doesn't...so for about the same money you can read more with the insight and a used x3.

I personally have the live wire...and have had the insight/x3 combo but liked the insight better. I got sold on the lifetime tuning pack from Vivian with my 5015.

Ok that's why I ask it wasn't a shot at anyone just wondering why one would spend more money. I didn't know that the livewire didn't read as much as the cts

There's only a couple things the 5015 doesn't have that id like... ebp is the main one. But nothing a mechanical gauge won't fix.
