High stall converter

Who's ran a high stall converter? Right now I have a 2700 stall precision in and not too sure how much I love it. Seems as if you either have to be all in, or nothing or else it acts a little goofy... Truck has a 366 soon to have a 472 and ~235/150's. Not sure if I'm just not used to the converter or if something is wrong. Any input? Here's a vid of maybe 1/2 throttle getting on the highway. Tune is Eric's Xtreme X.

Just was worried about where it seemed to stutter there when it locked in 4th. Guess I'm just not used to the way the built trans and this converter drives. And 472 should be going on late next week or next weekend.

That speedo moves quick for only half throttle. And spool up comes on smooth. Acts just as it should, Jared is right when you get that 472 on, you're going to be glad you made your choice. Although 2700 is pretty loose.

2700 rpm stall is starting to get into the "not street friendly" component selection of parts for power.

Yeah Greg she moves pretty good under light throttle. And agreed with it starting to get not so street friendly... Think I'll leave it in at least till the 72 is on. Still haven't launched it to see how it feels at wot

I've driven a 2700 stall on the street in a dmax with a 475 single, it helped the charger big time, but its like anything, takes time to get used to.

I daily drive my s472 and my wife also daily drives it to and from work with stock stall without issues... My parts are on the way to build my transmission and I am only going to a 2200rpm stall as I see no need to go nayhigher with my first hand experice DD with stock stall on the s472.... I am alos stepping the charger up to a s475

Of course not... LOL. and yes drove it a lot today, to MPD and back and around town awhile tonight. getting used to it for sure

Good to hear. Might try a tighter converter but this one will probably be staying. Interested on how that 75 works. What specs? ultimately, I want to run a single 75...

Looks fine I have a 3000 in mine. It acts great under wot I'm sure yours will to

Feels good at WOT from a roll. Trans shifted a little weird the 2 times I launched it tonight. we got some messing around to do with it

The wife has been drivin it daily without complaint with 225/100s and the stock conveter… I am pullin the injectors today and sending them out to be rebuilt into 300/100 conventionals and am pulling the trans and building it and the new conveter will have a 2200rpm stall
